On 9th October 2011, the 22nd anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution of 1989, the City of Leipzig will hold an open application process for a Monument to Freedom and Unity.
Artists, architects and landscape architects from all over the world are invited to submit an application.
The call for applications for Biennale is open to Russian and foreign artists of new generation working in contemporary art using the latest strategies, concepts and technologies (works can be submitted: individual, collective or as part of curatorial project). The new generation artists are considered those whose age at the time of Biennale opening does not exceed 35 years.
The call for applications is open for the authors of projects (artists and curators if curatorial project is applied).

Kunst-Stoffe is a cultural organisation committed to exploring issues of value and waste. They pursue this mission in three areas of activity: exhibition program of discarded materials; projects investigating aesthetics and strategies of reuse; workshops and facilities to provide a practice ground for creative exploration of the ideas of sufficiency and subsistence. The residency includes free housing for the period of stay and offers workspace at Kunst-Stoffe. The artist will have a small studio at exclusive disposal and additional outdoor workspace, as well as partial access to equipped workshops for wood, metal and craftswork. The acquisition of materials will be supported if necessary. Living and travelling expenses have to be covered by the participant. Kunst-Stoffe will provide support in the acquisition of travel grants if desired. Towards the end of the stay, each artist has the opportunity to present work process and results, along with a public program. During the stay, participants will be supported in having open studio presentations and holding workshops, if desired.
Interested artists may send an electronic application (preferably in one PDF), consisting of the following:
- A letter of intent describing applicants interest in working in the context of Kunst-Stoffe
- A documentation of no more than two previous projects
- A project proposal, outlining the activities planned in Berlin
- A proposed time schedule (preferred time slot and length of stay)

The "H+F Curatorial Grant 2012" is an initiative which allows the FRAC Nord–Pas de Calais (Dunkirk/France) in close partnership with the private collector Han Nefkens (H+F Collection), to give young international curators the opportunity to participate in the development of exhibition projects based on the collection. This grant offers emerging art coordinators and curators a unique infrastructure and environment with free access to a research and documentation centre as well as to one of the best French collections of contemporary art.
The selected person will become part of the FRAC’s team as an assistant curator, coordinating local, national and international exhibition-projects.
The grantee will receive a grant for 12 months (2012) that will help finance her/his living and travel expenses.
The Residency Programme is open to professional artists from Germany and abroad who work in the areas of dance, performance, media arts or music. The recipients are offered a work space and local accommodation, and according to individual need, they can take advantage of various kinds of production support, such as dramaturgy, technical assistance, project management as well as press and publicity.
Residency recipients are able to receive a grant to cover their living expenses and travel costs.
International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
AAUW is one of the nation’s largest sources of private funding exclusively for educational programs that directly benefit women and girls. The program provides support for one year of graduate or postgraduate study in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Preference is given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work.
Three award levels are available based upon the applicant’s degree program.
• Master’s/Professional Degree fellowships carry a stipend of $18,000 for the fellowship year.
• Doctoral fellowships carry a stipend of $20,000 for the fellowship year.
• Postdoctoral fellowships carry a stipend of $30,000 for the fellowship year.

Open for artists, designers, (landscape) architects and scientists. Research the pressure on public, social and cultural use of urban seafronts. Develop new works, concepts and strategies focused on future sea and coastal urban developments.
Satellietgroep is based since 2006 in The Hague, The Netherlands. BADGAST is a research based artist in residency at the coast of The Hague/Scheveningen where Satellietgroep invites artistst and scientists to develop and present research that articulates a cultural, innovative and sustainable significance of the sea and its coasts.

Participation: the contest is open to all artists, without any limit of age, the topic is free.
Total amount of the prize: 170,000 EUR
The Award includes: 5 money prizes of 7,000 EUR each, art residences, solo exhibitions in art galleries, collaborations with companies, participation in international festivals and collective exhibitions.

CDA-Projects Grant is offering a 10,000 Euro grant to support the production of artistic research projects.
The grant aims at supporting and opening up the discussions on artistic research to an expanded network through an open call. It encourages innovative approaches to how discourse is staged and how knowledge is produced, rethought and interwoven across disciplines. Without any limitations on the content, the proposed inquiries are expected to suggest new forms and methodologies, by reflecting on contexts and conditions of the knowledge produced.

The Guasch Coranty International Painting Prize 2012 is directed to all professional artists under 40 years old who have completed studies in Fine Arts colleges, faculties or equivalent in any country, without restrictions of nationality or residence, with the aim of promoting artistic creativity, understood as an activity open to new media and techniques.
First Prize worth 25.000 € which cannot be divided or declared void and two prizes worth 8.000 € each.
