ACAX | Agency for Contemporary Art Exchange in Budapest announces an Open Call for Hungary based contemporary visual artists working in all disciplines to take part in a residency program at Gasworks in London.
ACAX has initiated and established connections and long-term partnerships with the most significant international artist-in-residence centres in order to enable Hungarian artists to work in Berlin, in London or in New York, coming into direct contact with the most progressive contemporary art practices.
ACAX – Agency for Contemporary Art Exchange in cooperation with Gasworks awards one three-month residency (October-December 2011). The residency is open to Hungary-based contemporary visual artists working in all disciplines.
The aim of the programme is to provide curators with an opportunity to carry out research on Finnish fine art, to build contacts with Finnish art practitioners and cultural organisations and to develop international curatorial projects involving Finnish participants.
The British Journal of Aesthetics (BJA) is holding a competition open to students on full-time undergraduate or graduate courses at art schools in any country to design a cover for the journal, which is published by Oxford University Press (OUP), both in print and online.

Within the Project Facing the artwork - the viewer in moving images we call for artists to submit video/filmworks which deal with the topic of the perception and/or the perceiver of art. Our aim is to explore through the variety of artistic approaches the role and significance of the audience and the single viewer in relation to the artwork, to the artist and to the art system. We focus on the spectator as observed by the artist - and reflected by the medium of the moving images.

Montehermoso presents the Art and Research call, the aim being to facilitate the production, diffusion and exhibition of contemporary art projects. Aid is offered for: the Production of contemporary art projects, Curatorship, the Research and development of a cinema script. Within the Investigation section, a minimum of one of the call aid packages will be devoted to projects relating to the development of a Feminist Art Historiography within the Spanish State.
